SME Internship Programme to boost Local Businesses

Durham University, in partnership with Durham County Council, has launched a new SME Internship Programme. This initiative, part-funded by the UK Government’s Shared Prosperity Fund, offers 50:50 match funding for three-month internships. It’s a fantastic opportunity for County Durham SMEs to access the skills and knowledge of Durham students and graduates, helping to fill critical skills gaps, drive innovation, and fuel business growth.

By participating, NETPark companies can benefit from advanced skills, comprehensive recruitment support, and the chance to trial potential long-term hires with reduced financial risk. This initiative not only supports local businesses but also promotes the retention of Durham University talent in the region, contributing to the local economy.
