UK Space Sector Secures Record £844 Million in ESA Contracts, Boosting Economy and Jobs


The UK's space sector has achieved a significant milestone by securing European Space Agency (ESA) contracts worth £80 million more than the government's contributions in the last quarter of 2024, marking a record for any member state. 

The UK's space sector has achieved a significant milestone by securing European Space Agency (ESA) contracts worth £80 million more than the government's contributions in the last quarter of 2024, marking a record for any member state. This success brings the total value of contracts awarded to the UK sector through the ESA to £844 million since June 2022. 

This surge in contract wins is projected to deliver over £1 billion in wider benefits to the UK economy and support an additional 3,800 highly skilled jobs.
